Francis gumm . Was hired to play Judy garland in real life . Judy garland plays other people in reel life ! Francis gumm was with Kennedy when a Os shooting takes place ..
Tell me about Kennedy...! Tell me why you slashed your throat ? And seem to live ?
Hello! I actually came across the famous poster of John C. Attle at a club in my area. I had never heard of him, and have been trying to find footage/audio of his performances.... it looks like there is none to be found on Google. Do you know if anything exists out there?
People were so honest back then. She would be cancelled for her jokes about the dwarfs nowadays.
???
Fantastic film. Too bad the critics hated it. Judy is so much herself in this final scene... The actors did use a lot of improvisation with the kids... Love that Darling...
Jack Paar was annoying.
:-)
I've never seen a male host so physically affectionate to a female guest. And, these were "old fashioned" people. They must have been very close. Terrific dynamic.
Judy was brilliant and she was hilarious. Her stories were one of a kind.

She is sweet and funny .

So sad. She looked terribly old at this point. And the host butts in too much. Just let her speak
Not only does she sound high or just plain drunk, but I sense a little jealousy there. Marlene Dietrich was one of the greats! Garland was too, but she seemed to never be able to get control of her life the older she got. She was terribly insecure and totally infatuated with herself.
She sounds and looks great. "Presented by Sid Luft" means more profits for Mr. Judy Garland long after she was gone. His business model was: Stick Judy with the unpaid taxes and keep all the profits. She made him a rich man.
Lovely, sweet, warm, beautiful soul. May she rest in peace.
She may be high as a kite but she's still funny
Judy was such a witty, funny sharp lady. It was a horror and a shame what Hollywicked did to her, we that are left shortchanged because of it. I wonder how things would have been if she wasn't treated so awfully.
She sounds like a 90 year old woman.
He loved to talk, and was noticeably frustrated when he wasn’t the center of attention.
Judy's honest rawness is refreshing! Sadly she'd probably be canceled today.
It is quite obvious she was a heroin addict.
Judy Garland is hilarious. I had no idea she had such a great sense of humour.
Sadly she needed massive amounts of drugs to be cognizant, the studio(Louis B Mayer) was an absolute monster
Drunk or not back then you could get pain killers or amphetamines just by asking . My Moms doctor gave her amphetamines in 1970 when she complained about gaining weight during her pregnancy . she told me her heart raced and she didnt feel normal . she stopped taking them but I'm still a wack job ! lol
*She was on Prescription Medications* but had a publicly-known past Drinking & Drug problem. She was hooked on Prescriptions _(Barbituates)_ which eventually caused her death. I'm glad the audience & interviewer Jack Paar saw past her vulnerability & weakness at that time and were supportive, respectful―also full of love for the Legendary Icon Judy Garland.
Unfortunately, the truth is more awful than that. They didn't see past her vulnerability - the industry was doing it to her, they were feeding her with drugs just to make her entertain the audience. Both sides couldn't care less about her well-being.
Love this story JUDY has a great sense of humor RIP to a LEGEND.
Interesting enough…JG remained quick witted even when she was high. Just imagine how lucid she would have been without the help of studio execs getting her hooked on drugs.
1967?
Really
Jack Parr was better than johnny carson, but Steve Allen was the best
Talentosa, sim, mas estava mamada, bem mamada.
Judy was ALWAYS great. Sometimes she was perfect. Like this time.
Totally funny as all get out ! THat s Frankfurt ! THat s Berlin and so on !
Lousy interview. Wasn't really an interview anyway. Still, it was interesting to watch from a historical perspective.
A true legend, great singer, great personality. She could act beautifully. There was nothing she couldn't do to perfection. She was born in Minn. I'm so proud as so was I. Love her, miss her...RIP beautiful lady.
I remember when the news of her death was announced in 1969. I was eight years old and playing with my hot wheels on the kitchen floor and my mom was in the laundry room adjoining. She was devastated. Judy was her beau ideal of an entertainer--the "whole package" as she said. My mom was so deeply saddened that Miss Garland could never find a healing, happy place. She, like so many performers before and since, were gone from our lives too soon. A lot of people made a whole hell of a lot of money off of her talents, and no one seemed to step up and care for her when she was at her lowest.
The "darling" boy, in this, the closing scene of this truly wonderful and deeply moving film, instantly stole my heart. I so wonder how his life turned out and whether he is still alive bless him.
Wow she was only 45 here. This is sad
This was recorded with a Potato…
She looks so poorly there. God love her. She was amazing 👏.
Is this before she died?
Did she not in fact help in the invention of intellisys
Such comic timing! So brilliant.
Sometimes, I have to just STOP at the miracle of this! Being able to pull up this old film. It's breathtaking ..It's magical!
She is quick. One of a kind
I just love Judy Garland’s wicked sense of humour . Amazing wonderful person precious spectacular in every way .
I don't think she was drunk. She was very sharp with her wit. We now know she was addicted to the uppers and downers MGM had given her so she could make a ton of movies for them. She made a lot of money for MGM, and didn't have much to show for it in the end.
Looking great 💕
Disturbing and sad.
